SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of this position is to design and develop websites with very strong aesthetic appeal that conform to the latest web standards. The designer must have a keen eye and appreciation for abstract arts as well as sufficient analytical ability to integrate JavaScript or PHP functionality as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Key Function #1: creating original graphics, artwork and designs, including all the necessary HTML, that integrates with various CMS template frameworks.
Key Function #2: overseeing all aspects of website creation, including copy writing and quality checking, and ensuring delivery on agreed upon milestones.
Key Function #3: liaising with customers, providing work estimates, and coordinating with sales and marketing team members.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
In order to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) major in Computer Graphics Technology and a minor in Computer Information Technology (or equivalent).
COMPUTER SKILLS
This is a job that requires a high degree of competence in the knowledge and use of computers and specialization in certain software applications, including the following:
- Word processing: MS Word
- E-mail: MS Outlook
- Web browsers: Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Chrome
- Design: Adobe PhotoShop, Flash
- HTML (expert)
- CSS (expert)

- JavaScript (basic)
